THAT Lola’s a right one, isn’t she! Not content with arson, she now adds a serious case of vandalism and GBH to her rap sheet.
When Phil sacks her for stealing from the caff, she offers him her phone for her job back. He refuses but keeps the mobile and later says he’s sold it. Lola lashes out by smashing up Phil’s prized Jaguar with a pole, but it’s Jay who pays the price as he’s working underneath it.
Julie, who doesn’t want her granddaughter to get a criminal record, pretends she was behind the attack but gets no thanks from Lola, who says: “There’s nothing you can do to make me like you.” So when Billy refuses to give up on Lola, Julie says she won’t make him choose between them and bids an emotional farewell to the Square.
Phil’s upsetting everyone this week, but his sniping at Roxy backfires when she sells her share of R&R to the business partner from hell – Janine! Walford’s newest millionaire wants to buy Phil out, so she does everything she can to annoy him, including bringing a parrot to work which she calls Frank and teaches to say ‘All right, pilchard’. Then she announces her plan to buy the Vic, which would surely lose it all its customers.
