HTHEY’RE being tipped as Birmingham’s next big thing and, on the evidence of this four-track debut EP, it’s more than possible. Take a helping of folky pop, mix in a little soul, add some classic 60s, then a dollop of primary colours. So Sofia, championed by Tom Robinson, is infectiously upbeat – the happiest handclaps you’ll hear this side of Magic Numbers. Back To Me is an exercise in nostalgia, Fortune Teller perfect pop-rock and the understated Discover Me a magical minor key delight. PC
