JOHN FOGERTY The Blue Ridge Rangers Ride Again (Verve Forecast)
wTHE Creedence frontman returns with a set of sweetly sung country, reviving the Blue Ridge Rangers project he embarked on after his band’s bust-up back in 1972. What’s more, he’s brought some pals along for the ride. Eagles Don Henley and Timothy B Schmit add trademark soft-rock vocals to Rick Nelson’s Garden Party, and Bruce Springsteen hollers on a rip-roaring cover of The Everly Brothers’ When Will I Be Loved. Among others are Delaney & Bonnie’s Never-Ending Song Of Love and Fogerty’s own CCR-like Change In The Weather. PC
