The Bachelors - I believe

NO, you don’t have to pinch yourself. The Bachelors – the original Irish boyband from the 1960s – are back in vogue, with a cult audience growing on university campuses.

Whether it’s kitsch appeal or musical merit is open to question, but this compilation collects together all the harmony vocal singles highlighted by Diane, I Believe and the group’s UK hit version of Simon & Garfunkel’s Sound Of Silence.

In the meantime, here are two facts to ponder: (1) they helped tutor Led Zeppelin, and (2) they had a world record nine singles with a girl’s name in the title.
