Natasha Marsh - Amour

(EMI Classics)

THIS is the debut album by fast-rising and outstanding soprano Natasha Marsh who, just a few years ago, graduated with a first in music and drama from Birmingham University.

With the looks of a catwalk model and the voice of an angel, she seems destined for stardom.

The album contains a mix of classical pieces such as Verdi’s Si Un Jour, Rachmaninoff’s Vocalise and Al Giuchi Addio (from Zeffirelli’s Romeo And Juliet).

But there are also operatic stylings of commercial songs like Johnny Mercer’s Autumn Leaves and Ewan McColl’s The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face.
