Seth Lakeman - Poor Man's Heaven

(Relentless)

Seth Lakeman

WEST Country singer-songwriter Seth Lakeman has made traditional folk the new rock and roll, dragging the finger in the ear brigade screaming into the stadium spotlight.

The fiddler’s third album completes the journey, the rocky rhythms of songs such as The Hurlers and Blood Red Sky upping the ante without selling out.

There’s a sea-salt tang to the storytelling with tragic tales of shipwreck –particularly pivotal Soloman Brown, which recounts the Penlee lifeboat’s ill-fated rescue mission of 1981, a song which keeps folk’s heritage alive.
