Sara Bareilles - Little Voice

(Epic)

Sara Bareilles

CALIFORNIAN songbird Bareilles is being hailed as this year’s big breakthrough after Love Song broke iTunes download records and went double platinum.

In fact, she’s been performing credible singer-songwriter pop for six years but remained a best-kept secret.

Opening for James Blunt, Maroon 5 and Counting Crows has changed all that and this, her fourth album, showcases a soaring voice (hide the crystal before reaching the climax of Come Round Soon), clever relationship songs (Love Song is not at all what it says on the tin) and Fiona Apple-like jazz-pop (showstealing Between The Lines).
