Gavin Rossdale - Wanderlust

(Interscope)

"ROSSDALE'S grunge-gravel vocal helped power Brit band Bush to American success, eclipsing the likes of Oasis and Blur, while remaining a cult attraction back home.

After they called it a day, the frontman made an excellent album with new band Institute, and now turns solo with an image make-over.

But while Bush-like songs such as If You're Not With Us You Are Against Us, and Another Night In The Hills, are powerful, too much of the rest is made up of radio friendly-lite rock ballads.
