The Pigeon Detectives - Emergency

(Dance To The Radio)

The Pigeon Detectives

RELEASED two days shy of a year since acclaimed debut Wait For Me, the Pigeons aren’t waiting for the indie backlash to shoot them down.

After four hit singles, they’re hungry for more, so simply dish up more of the same.

Full of short, sharp guitar songs ideal for a boozy night on the Academy’s sticky carpets, they stick to the tried and tested. Hence single This Is An Emergency, Don’t You Wanna Find Out and I’m A Liar tread a predictable path.

The lyrics are still naff, of course, and the band’s brush with the politically correct crew has left them sexist as ever.
