Review: Enrique Iglesias, at the LG Arena, Birmingham NEC

A poster with ‘My husband’s away, you wanna play?’ greeted Enrique for the final night of his UK tour.

Following on in his heart-throb father Julio’s footsteps, the Spaniard sent hormones rocketing as he smouldered, posed and climbed into the crowd every chance he got.

The 1h 45min Euphoria show played to every romantic cliche.

There was ‘good with kids’ Enrique as he sang with two children on stage and sensitive Enrique, singing with a widow to Hero.

While raunchy Enrique changed lyrics to opening song Tonight to an x-rated version.

It earned him a pair of pink knickers, thrown on stage during finale Escape.

This was an entertaining night and, short of being able to take him home, the hunk gave the crowd just what they wanted.
