It wouldn’t be an AC/DC show, of course, without the outrageous specials effects. The gig starts with a runaway steam train crashing out onto the stage and ends with the traditional six-gun salute of For Those About To Rock.
Whole Lotta Rosie is played out under the bulging boobs of a giant inflatable whore, the stage is bathed in flame during TNT and Young rises 30ft in the air to play Let There Be Rock – right in the middle of the crowd.
There’s a nice nod at this Midland gig to local superheroes Led Zeppelin, as he pinches part of Jimmy Page’s iconic guitar solo from Whole Lotta Love as part of his schoolboy solo showcase.
Electrifying, as you’d expect AC/DC to be.
