BEATING Will Smith’s new release Seven Pounds along the way, Jim Carrey has gone straight to the top of the US box office charts with his latest ‘comedy’.

It’s based on British author Danny Wallace’s book, which followed his own personal experiences when he was advised by a stranger to say ‘Yes’ more often.

Down on his luck as Carl Allen, Carrey is set to be a man who learns to live life to the full simply by being a lot more positive for a year.

So far, so good. Except that you can hear the script of Carrey’s 1997 hit Liar Liar creaking away in the background, since that was about a man who couldn’t tell lies for 24 hours.
