Bangkok Dangerous (18)

HONG Kong twins Danny and Oxide Pang remake their own 1999 action thriller for Hollywood, starring Nicolas Cage as ruthless hitman Joe.

He travels to Thailand to despatch four gangland figures and hires lowly pickpocket Kong (Shahkrit Yamnarm) as an errand boy, intending to kill him once the contract is complete. But, wouldn’t you just know it, he starts to like the youngster, while also having feelings for shop girl Fon (Charlie Young). And in his business it’s not wise to show emotions.

The cool locations look striking and the basic shout-’em-up action scenes work pretty well. Don’t expect much, and you might quite enjoy it.
