IF there’s one person in Albert Square who deserves a little happiness, it’s Heather.
Poor Hev has had more setbacks than most, but this week her luck changes when Andrew gets down on one knee and proposes. She could only be happier if George Michael dumped men for her.
Admittedly he might have found a more romantic spot to pop the question than in the street outside R&R, and he might have bothered to get an engagement ring instead of the washer he has in his pocket, but it’s the thought that counts.
Hev isn’t quite so pleased, though, when Ian and Mandy steal some of her thunder by announcing their wedding.
Of all the people to borrow money from, you’d think the Moon brothers would know better than to get involved with dastardly Derek.
When they can’t pay back the £4,000, he says they can either get their legs broken or do a dangerous job for him, stealing cables from train lines. But Michael doesn’t really help matters by calling the cops.
Derek’s influence on Ben is obvious after the gangster tells the teenager to show ‘he’s a real man’. Ben says he wants his dad to stay in prison for a long time, and when he dies he’ll dance on his grave. We get the idea!
