AMERICAN rockers Shinedown are heading for Birmingham – and on the scent of a decent meal.
Drummer Barry Kerch is looking forward to sampling the culinary delicacies the city has to offer when they play the Barfly this Thursday.
‘‘Unfortunately, when we’re on tour in America a lot of what we eat is junk food,’’ says keen cook Barry, who lives in Jacksonville, Florida.
‘‘The nice thing about coming to Europe is that there are a lot more restaurants and little bistros with good food. In the States there tends to be just chain restaurants, especially around the clubs where we play.
‘‘In Birmingham I’ll definitely have a curry and I can’t wait to have a true English breakfast.’’
